Kaiseki: Japanese Cuisine

Project Brief

Kaiseki is a fictitious traditional Japanese fine dining restaurant franchise. Kaiseki is the Japanese word for traditional fine dining. It’s often a three course meal, hence, the logo incorporates elements of three. The logo draws inspiration from flowers, which are often used to decorate kaiseki dishes. The logo type is inspired by Japanese calligraphy to refer back to the traditional roots of kaiseki. The system includes a business card, gift card, gift card envelope, take-out bag, menu, and site.
