The CDC estimates that 20 million people are affected by STIs every year in the USA, half of which are among people ages 15-24.
SHAMELESS is an ad campaign that focuses on targeting the STD epidemic, among 18–24 year olds in the US. My solution was to engage incoming college students with sex ed info in a manner that was non-intimidating, approachable, and humorous.
I choose the format of a sex ed kit that could be passed out to incoming college freshmen. The kit includes: an info card, condoms, condom tin, and an expansion pack to the popular game "Cards Against Humanity". I came up with and wrote, humorous yet informational, copy for the cards and condoms that could appeal to the target demographic.
Overall, the kit and all of its components are meant to encourage learning and open dialogue on the importance of sexual health as a part of one's overall wellness.
