Bardessono

Project Brief

Bardessono is a luxury hotel in Yountville in Napa Valley. They consider their hotel to be very modern, sexy, and edgy and they want their website to be redesigned to reflect that. They also wanted to feature larger imagery and less copy. I was tasked with designing one of the comps that would be presented for their new website redesign.

Approach

The new sitemap created a more streamlined user experience by merging redundant pages. I prioritized the creation of a clear sense of hierarchy so that the site would be easy for users to scan for relevant information. I rearranged the information on the pages in the order of importance to the user.

For the comps, I sought to create a fresh, modern, edgy aesthetic by pairing large imagery with ample white space, incorporating dynamic triangle design elements, and by using a unique button style. Clean lifestyle imagery with ample negative space and strong modern lines was used when possible to reinforce the sense of luxury.
